Friday morning saw the launch of the Wendy Tea website – a site featuring glass artwork photography by Richard Flint Photography…. but there’s more!

The website itself was also developed and constructed by Richard Flint Photography in a package that delivered both the photography and the website to the client.

The website description on the website design page nicely sums up the client requirements :-

The Wendy Tea site uses audio, video and photography with additional features including a book format journal, social media integration, photo gallery and artwork sales pages to provide the artist with a stylish and artistic presence online. Created to promote and sell glass artwork, the website will also allow the artist to express creative ideas and artistic concepts.

The Wendy Tea website can be found at www.wendytea.co.uk

SlideShowPro Powered Galleries

By |2017-03-13T11:46:56+00:00December 18th, 2011|Categories: News|Tags: , , , , , , |

Work continues at pace on the website with the gradual introduction of the new SlideShowPro powered galleries like the one seen above.

So far around half of the galleries have been changed over to the new gallery viewer that allows for full screen viewing of images and mobile device access to images. Although the galleries are Flash powered for desktop and laptop users, any mobile devices accessing the website will use a HTML5 version of the slideshow. Even better is the fact that SlideShowPro also supports video playback and audio files.

Work on changing the galleries over to the new image publishing system will continue into early 2012. The galleries are, in many cases, being rebuilt from scratch to enable the best viewing of work at the full screen setting. One or two galleries (Solo Photo Book Month 2009/10) may not be included in the upgrade although no final decision has been made yet.

Navigation of the portfolio can be done in one of two ways. First of all there is the portfolio gallery page with galleries listed. The second way is via the mouse over control panel in the SlideShowPro gallery on the portfolio page.

Finally, we have the first of the ‘featured photography’ pages up and running. Selected galleries will have this extra page with more detail and insights into the photography project. The ‘featured photography’ page for Sea, Sky, Sand and Street can be found here

Website redesign: Phase Two

By |2017-03-13T11:46:56+00:00December 6th, 2011|Categories: News|Tags: , , , , |

After a few days in maintenance mode, the website has returned with a new design. I’m pleased with the results. The website will be easier to update and expand – more about the site expansion very soon.

Next up, we have phase two which is aimed solely at an upgrade of the portfolio. The new system will use the Slideshow Pro system and allow viewing on the iPad and any mobile devices. Along with the portfolio, and series of pages will be introduced under the title ‘featured photography’ where images and text will give a better insight into the work. Think of it as an in-depth expansion of the portfolio

The portfolio upgrade will start this month and continue into 2012. The ‘featured photography’ pages will start to appear on the website next year.
