Territorial Army Photo Zine Released

I’m pleased to announce that my fourth book Territorial Army has been released. The sixty page photo zine contains fifty images of Army reservists that were shot in 1996, and the book celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of the project. It remains one of the most important photography projects I ever worked on, raising the bar on how I judged my own work. I still regard the photography project as one of my very best.

Getting Better with Age

The odd thing about getting older as a photographer is your work ageing too. It seems very strange to think of these images and the adventure I had doing it is now three decades old. It needed to be celebrated and a book seemed the perfect way to do that.

Army Reserve

A lot has changed for the Territorial Army since the images were taken. It’s role is probably more defined than ever before and the name has changed with the T.A becoming the Army Reserve in 2012. The initial post cold war lull period that these image were taken in would soon change to deal with the global terrorist threat.

The Book’s Web Page

A new Territorial Army photo zine page has been added to the website with details about the project, along with a few exclusive insights into some of the key photographs from the project.
