Moving Audio

The past few weeks have seen large changes take place with regard to the Richard Flint Photography podcast. After ten years at the same podcast hosting company, a decision was made to move to anchor.fm which is part of Spotify.

The new host provides better distribution options including making the podcast newly available on Spotify as well as mobile tools for recording while out and about. The process of running and maintaining the podcast has been made much easier.

Avaailable on Spotify

The transition over to new hosting took place a couple of weeks ago with the minimum amount of disruption to subscribers. However, the raw RSS feed on the previous host Jellycast.com has now been shut down and will no longer deliver new episodes of the podcast. The recommended podcast feed to receive new episodes of the podcast can be found at https://feeds.feedburner.com/TheRichardFlintPhotographyPodcast.

More options to subscribe to the podcast can be found on the podcast page at https://www.richardflintphoto.com/podcast/

The Podcast

If you haven’t come across the podcast it’s released monthly, and looks at photo news, photographers, exhibitions plus links to photography, videos and multimedia and lots more. A number of additional bonus podcasts are also recorded each year on location or focus on specific photography related topics.

Bonus Podcast: Arran and Campbeltown The Richard Flint Photography Podcast

A location podcast from a wet and windy Campbeltown (Mull of Kintyre) looking back at two weeks of travels around the Isle of Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. Lots of photography with the weather adding some drama to the skies and coastline. Check out the websites and the richardflintphoto Instagram feed for some images from my travels.

Changes to Copying, Repair and Retouch Prices

changes to repair, copying and delivery prices

Price Changes

For many years the prices for the copying services have included special delivery postage costs with the price. recently, after some thought, the prices were altered to reflect the cheapest postage option and not the most expensive.

Delivery Options

All prices on the digital services page now reflect the change to the cheapest postage option available – Royal Mail Signed for First Class. A variety of postage options will continue to be available including Recorded first class and next day special delivery.

Sending irreplaceable photographs through the post is daunting. I have always recommended that photographs be sent using Royal Mail Signed for first-class postage as a bare minimum. Ideally Recorded first class post would be the prefered option. The ability to follow and monitor the progress of delivery can be important.

Gulls, Gales and Grandeur – Mull of Galloway Gallery

Souherly Point

The Mull of Galloway gallery has been added to the website’s portfolio section. The images were shot around the Mull of Galloway, the most southerly point in Scotland. It feels very remote even though it is only 28 miles from Stranraer. The project was initially created to be a colour project but it took on a new direction developing into the warm black and white images seen in the gallery.

The gallery can be found at https://www.richardflintphoto.com/portfolio/mull-of-galloway
